You will also now be able to hire additional mercenaries from Asheara. Go and talk to Asheara and she will give you a free Iron Wolf mercentary as a reward. When you've found it, return to the Kurast docks, and give the blade to Ormus he will give you a rare ring as a reward. The symbol for the blade will appear on your map, when you are close. The Gidbin Blade will be found in the Flayer Jungle. Speak with Hratli to activate the second quest. Leave his shop, and then return, and he will give you a potion of life, which will add 20 points to your life statistic. Alkor will identify it as the Golden Bird of Ku Y'leh. Return to Cain, who will tell you to speak to Alkor. Speak with Meshif, who will give you a gold bird in exchange for the jade figurine.
Return to town and speak with Cain, who will tell you to talk to Meshif. To activate this quest, go into the Spider Forest, and after killing the first Unique monster, search the ground for a jade figurine. The attribute points you obtain from this quest is a permanent reward and for that reason it's highly recommended you do this quest on every single difficulty.Entering the Spider Forest and finding the Jade Figurine Returning Lam Esen's Tome to Alkor will net you 5 attribute points to spend and some discounts when shopping in Kurast. Note: You will not get credit for this quest unless you are in the Ruined Temple when Lam Esen's Tome is clicked. What you're looking for is a small pedestal (pictured below) which you'll want to click on to retrieve the tome. The Ruined Temple always spawns in the Kurast Bazaar and Lam Esen's Tome always spawns inside of the Ruined Temple.
The only thing you actually have to do for this quest is to go to the Ruined Temple, pick up Lam Esen's Tome and return it to Alkor. You can begin this quest after completing Act 3: Quest 2 Blade of the Old Religion by speaking with Alkor you can also start it whenever you want by picking up Lam Esen's Tome in Ruined Temple.
